Insights of the sannyasin (2)

A man and a woman. A man and a woman are half-and-half beings that attract each other, but because of their differences they hardly understand each other. A woman is earthier, leading sedentary life, more inert, more emotional. Her strong sides are sincerity and patience. A man is active, mobile, goal orientated, logical, free minded, and dynamic. A couple is like a river. A man is the banks and a woman - the water. In family a man and a woman are tied by commitments, marriage vows, and maybe love. In loving couple, energy as well as love, flows between a man and a woman. The flow of energy is the essential condition for a couple to coexist. Otherwise, they frustrate and hurt each other. The flow of energy is visible and can be experienced. Love is the most valuable product of a couple. A sannyasin should go along with love instead of going with a man. It seems scary, but only then the steps of love are left everywhere. While going along with love, 90 percent of couple’s problems go away and others are solved easily. Couples argue over the children and possessions for there is no love. In the couple of sannyasins, a man is leading and a woman is flowing. Each of them should be oneself. Then they have the overflow of energy and share it. They do not ask for giving, they invite to take. A man shares masculine vital energy, while a woman shares feminine one. The smallest wish, request or lie and the energy stops flowing. The smallest abuse and the energy disappears.

Sannyasins discover that in every man there is an inner woman and in every woman there is an inner man. A man looks for a woman in the world and outside who would match his inner woman and a woman looks for a man who would match her inner man. Then a couple will be thoroughly complete and happy. One of such couples in the East was the union of Shiva and Parvati. Sannyasin man develops his inner woman and a sannyasin woman develops her inner man. While spiritually growing the time comes when the other is not necessary. At that time a man balanced his inner woman with outer man and a woman - her inner man with outer woman. Then, the other could be, but he or she is not necessary. This is the true celibacy, Brahmacharia, true innocence. None of the inner energies - emotional, sexual or mental can be rejected, repressed or renounced, for this creates tensions, perversions and illnesses. Unfortunately, all beliefs of the world are based on that. Every inner energy should be transformed into higher, more useful one, into love and expressed creatively, consciously. Spiritual practices and meditations enable that. True gates of paradise open only through consciousness.

Consciousness. Consciousness is the highest existential value, the very essence of it. The highest science is the science of consciousness, religion. Those beliefs, which contain no consciousness, invoke suffering, as proper step can not be found to correspond the situation. Opposite is true. However, the consciousness is necessary not only for sannyasin, but for a worldly person as well. As the rhythm of life becomes faster, situations become more difficult and human consciousness should grow. A balance is kept everywhere in existence, whether consciously or unconsciously. If nothing is done consciously, then a balance is born subconsciously, mechanically. That is why trees tumble down, roofs are blown off, dams rupture, people are killed, revolutions are born, wars etc. But by seeing a leaning tree or floppy roof, a cracked dam, psychological or spiritual tensions we can act consciously and prevent suffering and misfortune.

Here is an example of domestic consciousness. Once, during my stay in the countryside, a man came out of the forest and asked for a saw. A tree, which had tumbled down, trapped a boot of his car. The man kept wondering how he parked the car so carelessly. There was probably the only tree which had tumbled down in the very place where he had parked his car. Of course, he could have kept wondering about his car having been a little damaged. I wondered that the branches of the pine had prevented from trapping his car more. It remained almost undamaged. But if the man had paid more attention to the surroundings, if he had been more conscious about that, he could have noticed the leaning pine and he could have parked his car a little more at a distance. In that case, everything would have ended up happily, or probably with a laud laughter.

Almost everything in the world has its opposites. There are no branches without roots, no plus without minus, no woman without man, no god without devil. Only consciousness has no opposite. Consciousness can be from zero or unconsciousness, to the highest or cosmic consciousness. But it can not be negative. In Lithuania, only Vydunas perceived the value of consciousness and wrote about it. It is difficult to honour the very consciousness, thus the Lithuanians have honoured Vydunas placing his image on 200 Litas banknote. Unfortunately, Vydunas did not know meditation and he did not have a method to wake up consciousness.

Consciousness does not relate to beliefs. Probably opposite is true. While believing consciousness does not grow. This could be illustrated by a dream. While sleeping a man absolutely believes: believes in what he sees. If there remains any consciousness in a man, he doubts and a dream ends. Doubting shows that a man is at least a bit conscious. If a man is conscious while sleeping, he never dreams. Buddha is conscious 24 hours a day and never dreams. Dreaming is the privilege of unconscious people. While dreaming, different human layers are not related to each other, that is why a man can see the strangest dreams. One can fly in a dream, for that part, which knows that you can not fly, is asleep and is not involved in a dream. One can see almost everything in a dream, everything one wants to or what one thinks during a day. Your subconsciousness creates a dream. People usually recall dreams only when something jumps out of subconsciousness and scares them or when somebody wakes them up from aside. Who would be willing to wake up if a dream is nice?

Consciousness is only developed by consciousness. On the other hand, consciousness likewise light can be focused and in this way the consciousness can be increased in the certain direction. But this is tiresome. Consciousness can crystallize into thought and vice versa. Osho says, that matter is sleeping consciousness and consciousness is awakened matter. Each can turn or evolve into other. During the cycle of evolution of universal consciousness, this process has been going on for over 10 billion years. While consciousness is wakening, life forms are evolving as well and becoming more complex. The higher consciousness can emerge through them.

Meditation. While doing anything attentively, feeling the movements of the body, realizing sensations, emotions and thoughts, consciousness grows. Science is a mean of developing consciousness as well. The giant leap of evolution of consciousness happened when a thought separated from a body. Then human consciousness started working through mind with chita - material of mind, similarly as consciousness works with matter through hands. In this way a thought and mind were created. It has new opportunities. One can model forms, situations, create plans and use imagination in it. Only recently, the second leap of consciousness happened. It relatively tore apart from mind. Artificial intelligence and computerization were born. But people have overestimated mind and now it is always inserted between consciousness and body. It is completely useless to understand the whole situation. Mind is always partial i.e. domestic, national, belonging to a party, sectarian, or whatever else. There is no other way in mind. Mind even prevents to deeply feel other man or grasp the whole situation. There is a need to extend consciousness beyond mind and thoughts, a meditative consciousness. The method is meditation. Concentration or science leads to a thought, while centering in consciousness or meditation leads to wisdom. The coming period is a shift from mind to meditative consciousness. Sannyasins, mystics, and buddhas of all times spoke it about. It is already nearby. Then, the time of love and blissfulness will start, for in consciousness we are not separate from each other. One experiences suffering of other people in it. It does not represent unity, but oneness. All individual souls flow into overall cosmic consciousness, into common cosmic song, united cosmic dance. Evolution of consciousness continues.
